The Lutheran Church in Ireland invites you to an evening service commemorating 500+2 years of Reformation

The evening will consist of the book launch of ‘Called to Freedom – Reformation 1517–2017 in an Irish Context’, edited by Dr Gesa Thiessen on behalf of the Lutheran Church in Ireland.

Rev Dr Kiean O’Mahony will present the book to the public audience.

The book is a collection of talks and articles and present a broad variety of perspectives on the history and impact of the Reformation era. It emerged from the Symposium in February 2017, commemorating the importance of Reformation in an Irish Context while the EKD (Evangelische Kirche in Deutschland) visited Ireland as part of a European Reformation Campaign.

The service will take place on 31st October at 8pm in St Finian’s Lutheran Church, 24 Adelaide Road, Dublin 2.

After the prayer and book launch there will be a reception with light refreshments.
